Steve Arnoldus is a national published commercial and award winning photographer.

I have had a long love affair with many arts for as long as I can remember. As most photographers will detail; the affair began at home usually, starting from a parent, sibling or family member that gave them their first camera. Mine was no exception. My father started that curiosity with photography many years ago with a Kodak Instamatic.

After high school I purchased my first camera, a Cannon AE-1, a Manfrotto tripod and a 50mm lens. Photography was such a release and it taught me to slow down, examine the world around you, and look at things from a different perspective. However, being a student and trying to survive it quickly became apparent that some sacrifices needed to be made. The camera and my love for making photographs had to be put on hold.

Fast forward 15 or so years, I was working for a company in the ski industry and met one of the many great friends in my life, John Todd. John was a long time photographer and in a few short months of knowing him, the passion and spark for photography was re ignited within me. I purchased my first digital camera, a small point and shoot Kodak to test the waters. It was only a few short months after that the first DSLR would be in my bag.
